Edna Louise Childers James was born June 12, 1919 in Bogata, TX to Bob and Maud Childers. She passed into Heaven on September 11, 2017. Louise loved life and packed a lot happiness and joy into her 98 years. Some of her most cherished memories were her trips to Germany, Switzerland and Austria; her trips to Indiana to visit the Banks family and her yearly trips with her daughter.

In 1942, she married W.M. James and they moved to Grand Prairie. After his death in 1981, she later married Kenneth Dickey.
As her children got older, Louise took accounting classes at Arlington State College and worked several years as a bookkeeper for various companies. Later she got her real estate license. After selling real estate for a while, she decided she needed an insurance license so she could sell them and a house and insurance, too. As if this wasn't enough to keep her busy, she re-enrolled at Arlington State to take Spanish. She would bring her study group home and those "youngsters" commented that they wished their mothers were as cool as she was. She was in American Business Women of America and served as President. In her spare time after all this, she loved yard work - especially her roses.

She was member of First Baptist Church in Grand Prairie and loved to play dominos with the senior group - especially Tal James. For many years, she was a member of the senior adult Serendipity Choir. She was also in a Bunko club.

Proceeded in death by parents, brother, Mervin Childers, husbands W.M. James and Kenneth Dickey, Great Grandson, Brad Banks.

She is survived by daughter Sandra Hutto (John), sons, Robert James (Susan) and Mike James (Brenda). Grandchildren, Tami Banks (Wayne), Jon James (Melissa), Greg James, Valerie James, Ryan James (Julie) and Amy Cockrum (Jeff). Great Grandchildren Travis Banks (Lauren), Kevin Banks, Keagon James, Sean James, Ethan James, Taylor Cockrum and Tanner Cockrum. Great-Great Grandson Everett Banks, Sister-in-law, Genetty Childers, numerous nieces, nephews and three cousins, as well as her Faithful Cat, Frisky.
