Hervey Wenzel passed away April 8, 2013. He was born in Aleman, TX on January 27, 1924 to William and Emma Wenzel.
Hervey was an early riser who had astounding patience, there was a gentle quietness about him. He worked the majority of his life for the Broom and Mop factory in Grand Prairie. Hervey would never start and argument, one of the many spiritual gifts he received from God. He had a steady faith that helped him over come many injustices. Hervey Wenzel passed away April 8, 2013. He was born in Aleman, TX on January 27, 1924 to William and Emma Wenzel.
Hervey was an early riser who had astounding patience, there was a gentle quietness about him. He worked the majority of his life for the Broom and Mop factory in Grand Prairie. Hervey would never start and argument, one of the many spiritual gifts he received from God. He had a steady faith that helped him over come many injustices. One of the hardest in justest he incurred over his years was being a POW in Germany. Other gifts that he had was his good memory, and his caring nature. He was always quick to help other and he gave everything he had.
During his time in the military he was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Later in life Hervey was very involved with his church and senior citizen activities. He would spend a part of most days at the senior center in Grand Prairie, TX.
